Xiaomi launched the Mi 9 Series (Mi 9, Mi 9 SE, Mi 9 Transparent Edition) in February 2019. Now the company may soon include a new phone (Probably Xiaomi Mi 9T) on its Mi 9 lineup.
Recently, a Xiaomi phone with model number M1903F10G received NBTC (Thailand) and NCC (Taiwan) certification. Previously the model number M1903F10G was also certified by IMDA (Singapore) and Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
As per NBTC listing, the model number M1903F10G will be called Xiaomi Mi 9T. No other details revealed by the NBTC certification.
As per NCC certification, Mi 9T supports Taiwan 4G full frequency band, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC. Its charger model is “MDY-10-ED”. The NCC certification didn’t reveal any other specification.
The IMDA listing does not make any specific mention of the Xiaomi Mi 9T name, but the similarities to the Xiaomi Mi 9 (M1902F1G) and Mi 9SE (M1903F2G ) confirms that it is a new phone of Mi 9 series.
Last month, the model number M1903F10G was also spotted on the website of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). But, there is nothing else that is known regarding the phone apart from the Mi, Redmi, Xiaomi branding.
As of now, there is no information about Mi 9T specs, price, launch date etc. However, all these certifications from different countries suggest that the phone will launch in global markets soon. The “T” naming scheme for Xiaomi is entirely a new thing. We will have to wait for official words or TENAA listing to know more about the device.
Also, If we look at the pattern of the model number of Poco F1 (M1805E10A) we see that Mi 9T might be rebranded in India as Poco F2. Time will tell.
Recently, Xiaomi confirmed that its upcoming ‘killer flagship’ will be called the Redmi K20, and also teased the launch with Snapdragon 855 SoC. However, it remains to be seen if the Mi 9T will announce alongside the Redmi K20. However, As per Gizmochina report, Mi 9 has received a price cut by 100 Yuan for 8GB/128GB variant and 50 Yuan for 6 GB/128 GB variant in China on JD.com. Speculations suggest that the price cut could be because of the Upcoming Mi 9T.
