Fix: 5xx Server Error on Instagram (Not Working)

Sometimes we may face 5xx Server internal server error on Instagram. It is a commonly encountered problem that has existed since Instagram started. It points to an error code 500-511. Solution 1: Restart the application

To restart Instagram, you need to close the app first and then clear its cache. After that, open the Instagram app again. Now check whether the 5xx error got fixed for you or not. If Instagram is still not working, then follow the next solution.

Solution 2: Reconnect to an Internet connection

Sometimes Poor and unstable internet connections may also create the 5xx error or Instagram Not Working problem. So you can try reconnecting to your network to see if the issue has been resolved for you. If the network strength is low, search for a proper stable network connection.

Solution 3: Restart the device

The error also occurs due to a device-related issue. It can be fixed by restarting your device. So restart your Android or iOS device and check if Instagram is working fine or not.

Solution 4: Update the application

Due to an outdated version of Instagram, we may face errors in the application. So you should update the application. Go to Google Play Store, and then check if any update is available or not from the My apps and games section. If you are an iOS user, then open App Store> Instagram.

Solution 5: Launch Instagram in the browser

If you cannot open Instagram even if you tried the above methods such as Restart the application, Restart Device, Update app etc. You have to open Instagram in any internet browser of your choice. However, on the web version of Instagram, you will miss some features, but you will at least be able to open it successfully.
