According to the Elec report, Apple plans to launch the iPad Air with an OLED screen in 2022. In March 2021, reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also suggested the same. The screen size of this iPad Air will be 10.86 inches. It could be named an iPad Air as the current iPad Air packs the same screen size.
The report claims that Apple may release 11-inch and 12.9-inch models in 2023. The first iPad Air with an OLED screen will likely retail for $799, the 2020 iPad Air 4 starts at $599, and the 2021 iPad Pro with a Mini-LED screen starts at $1099. This will be the second iPad with a different type of lighting.

Earlier, Apple tablets came out with IPS screens. In 2021, the company updated the iPad Pro with a 12.9-inch version with a Mini-LED screen. In 2020, the iPad Air 4 was released; this is the first model in line with a modern design – without the Home button. The difference from the iPad Pro was in the unlocking method – the Pro was unlocked using Face ID, while the iPad Air 4 was unlocked using Touch ID.
