In Windows 11, when you hover the mouse over the square in the window, the Snap layouts multi-window appears, which allows you to dock the windows in the selected location.
If you have a small monitor and do not work with many windows, this function may seem excessive. For this reason, let’s take a look at how to disable Snap layouts in Windows 11.
Disable Snap layouts in Windows 11
- Go to Options > System > Expand the Attach Windows column on the right.
- Uncheck “Show Snap Layouts When I Hover over a Window’s Maximize button”.
So the process is straightforward. You won’t see any layout options while hovering over the minimize/maximize button on an app window.
