Huawei had launched three smartphones in March 2019 under its P series which includes Huawei P30, P30 Pro and P30 Lite. All of them came with Android 9 Pie operating system and later they were upgraded to Android 10. Now users are waiting for the second major OS upgrade which is the Android 11.
When will Huawei P30, P30 Pro and P30 Lite get Android 11 update?
- The stable Android 11 update for Huawei P30 and P30 Pro may be released in November 2020. However, Huawei P30 Lite may receive the update in January 2021.
EMUI 10 based Android 10 update for Huawei P30 and P30 Pro device was released in China in November 2019. However, global rollout began in January 2020 (for P30 Lite also). So, this year, we expect the same roll-out timeline for these devices.

The Huawei P30 comes with 6.1 inches Full HD+ OLED HDR Display with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution and DCI-P3 colour gamut. It is powered by Kirin 980 chipset that includes dual Cortex A76 at 2.6 GHz, Dual Cortex A76 at 1.92 GHz and Quad Cortex A55 at 1.8 GHz processor. The chipset has bundled with 720 MHz ARM Mali-G76MP10 GPU. For photography, we have triple camera setup on the rear consisting of 40MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, 16MP Ultra Wide Angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, 8MP 3x Telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, we get a 32MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The Huawei P30 measures 149.1 x 71.36x 7.57mm and weighs 165 grams. A 3650mAh (typical) battery that supports Huawei SuperCharge fast charging powers the device.

The Huawei P30 Pro arrives with 6.47-inch FHD+ OLED HDR Display with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution and DCI-P3 Color gamut. It is fueled by HUAWEI Kirin 980 processor with 720 MHz ARM Mali-G76MP10 GPU. In-camera department, we have triple camera setup with 40MP rear camera f/1.6 aperture, OIS, 20MP Ultra Wide Angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, 8MP 5x Telephoto lens with OIS, ToF Depth sensor, Laser AF, PDAF, CAF, AIS. We get 32MP on front camera section with f/2.0 aperture. The Huawei P30 Pro measures 158 x 73.4 x 8.41mm and weighs 192 grams. The Huawei P30 Lite features a 6.15-inch Full HD+ 19:5:9 2.5D curved glass display with 2312 x 1080 pixels resolution and 96% NTSC colour gamut. It is powered by Octa-Core Kirin 710 12nm (4 x 2.2GHz Cortex-A73 +4 x 1.7GHz Cortex-A53) with ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. As far as cameras are concerned, we have triple camera setup with 24MP rear camera with LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, secondary 2MP with 8MP 120° ultra-wide camera. For selfies, it has a 32MP camera with f/2.0 aperture. The Huawei P30 Lite measures 152.9×72.7×7.4mm and weighs 159 grams It packs a 3340mAh (typical) battery with fast charging.
