Nahimic Companion Windows 10/11: How to Uninstall it Completely?

Having a high-quality audio system does not guarantee that you will be able to squeeze the maximum out of it. But with the Nahimic Companion application, it is easy, even if you are not a great specialist in audio processing. Nahimic may well replace a fancy audio processor, being, so to speak, a software analogue. Its possibilities are truly endless, especially in terms of creating three-dimensional effects, allowing you to significantly improve the sound quality in films or modern games. Moreover, even with conventional speakers or stereo headphones, it becomes possible to get high-quality surround sound in 5.1 or even 7.1 formats. Now you understand what Nahimic Companion is for – it’s a great, free way to turn your Windows 11 and Windows 10 PC into a home theatre.

Nahimic Companion Installed itself automatically.

If you have Motherboard/laptop/devices from MSI, Dell, Machenike, Aorus, ASRock, ThundeRobot etc., you may receive the Nahimic app via Windows update. So can you deactivate/ disable Nahimic Companion? Yes, but the Nahimic app reinstalls itself whenever you uninstall it. It keeps popping up at startup.

Nahimic Companion Installed

As easy as installing a program, it isn’t easy to uninstall it. Of course, simply dragging the folder with the files to the trash will have no effect, and you will have to end the A-Volute NS process and the associated Nahimic Companion nahimicNotifSys.exe process. Without this, the deletion will not work. But this is not enough; after a reboot, all three processes will appear in the task manager again.

How to Uninstall or Remove Nahimic Companion Completely?

To disable the Nahimic service (It will not start after a reboot), press Win + R and enter the services.msc command.

Search Nahimic service, right-click on it, select “Properties”, and stop the service.

You can also change the startup type by setting it to Disabled.

Open the task scheduler (Enter taskschd.msc command in the “Run” console)

Look for the NahimicTask lines (there maybe two of them, with prefixes 32 and 64), click the RMB again and select “Finish”. At the same time, it is advisable to disable the NahimicSvc64Run / NahimicVRSvc64Run services.

You delete the NhNotifSys program folder in the AppData \ Local directory forever.
