One UI 2.5 Update: Here’s the List of Eligible Samsung Galaxy Phones

Samsung is going to unveil Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy Tab S7, and probably a new Galaxy Watch in August 2020 in its Galaxy Unpacked Online event. At the same event, it is expected that Samsung will announce its next version of One UI which will likely be called One UI 2.5. Now, you might be worried whether your Galaxy device is eligible for One UI 2.5 update or not. So, let’s find out in this article.

What is One UI 2.5?

One UI 2.5 is Samsung’s upcoming custom skin which is the successor to the One UI 2.1. It will probably be based on Android 10 OS. If you are looking for Android 11 based One UI, you will have to wait for One UI 3.0. Samsung’s One UI 2.5 will bring Android 10 Gestures support in 3rd party launchers and some other improvements.

When will your Galaxy device get One UI 2.5 update?

Probably from August 2020, Samsung will start pushing One UI 2.5 to eligible Galaxy devices. Initially, Galaxy Note 20 series and Galaxy Fold device users will likely get the update. Next in line will be Galaxy S20, Galaxy S10 and Note 10 series. After that, gradually, the company will start releasing One UI 2.5 update via OTA for eligible Galaxy M, Galaxy A, Galaxy Note, Galaxy S, Galaxy Z, and the Galaxy Fold lineup.
