Oppo has introduced the RAM Expansion technology on the first smartphones of its large portfolio. Now Oppo Find X3 Neo and Find X3 Lite support RAM Expansion Technology. This solution consists of the virtual expansion of the handset’s RAM and had made its debut initially in Singapore and, subsequently, in the Middle East and Africa under the name of RAM+.
In practice it is an increase in the RAM available to the user, in the sense that it is possible to convert – virtually – part of the ROM (the flash memory of the smartphone) into RAM, temporarily dedicating it to the management of activities in progress. An interesting solution especially when it comes to multitasking of switching from one app to another and performance in general. Oppo also guarantees a reduction in the frame loss rate.
The user will then have three different adjustment levels for the expansion volume which can be selected manually. The RAM expansion feature requires the latest available firmware version and can be found by heading over Settings> About phone. In order to active, you need to restart your smartphone.
