What is Windows 10 version 22H2?
Windows 10 22H2 is the upcoming feature update with several new features and improvements. The current version of Windows 10 is 21H2. Now Microsoft is moving from a twice-yearly to a once-yearly feature update pace. The company will also rename the service option for Windows 10 releases to the “General Availability Channel” (replacing the current “Semi-Annual Channel”).
As the next Windows 10 feature update following 21H2 will be released in the second half of 2022, we can say the next feature update will be known as Windows 10 22H2.
Windows 10 22H2 Release Date
The Windows 10 22H2 final version could be released in September 2022. The company has not shared a timeline for the next feature update of Windows 10.
As of now, Microsoft has released the first preview build of the Windows 10 22H2 update. The Build carriers version 19045.1865 and patch KB5015878. It is available in the Release Preview Channel for Windows Insider Program.
Microsoft will continue to support Windows 10 operating system until Oct 14, 2025. That means you will stop getting software updates, and no new features will be added to the OS. So Windows 10 has only four years left to live.

- Get an early build of Windows 10 22H2 (if available).
