Huawei P30, P30 Lite & P30 Pro Receives Certification in Indonesia & Taiwan

Huawei Technologies will hold a presentation on March 26 in Paris and is expected to announce the Huawei P30 series officially. Recently, the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro have passed through the NCC certification process in Taiwan. Additionally, Indonesian regulatory body TKDN has approved Huawei P30 Series on March 5.

Two new Huawei phones ELE-L29 and VOG-L29 have obtained NCC certification on February 21 and March 7 respectively. As per NCC listing, the device supports Taiwan’s 4G full-band and NFC. VOG-L29 also has wireless charging. In addition, the ELE-L29 will have 6GB / 8GB RAM, 128GB ROM, while the VOG-L29 will have 8GB RAM, 128GB / 256GB ROM. Based on the specifications, the ELE-L29 may be P30, and the VOG-L29 may be P30 Pro.

TKDN is given by the Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Communication and Information. As per TKDN listing, the three new Huawei smartphones carrying the model numbers VOG-L29, ELE-L29 and MAR-LX2 will be available in Indonesia. Regarding the percentage of TKDN obtained, Huawei P30 scored 30.71%, P30 Pro scored 30.71%, while the P30 Lite scored TKDN at 31.15%.

Based on the observation, ELE-L29 is the code number for Huawei P30, VOG-L29 is the code number for Huawei P30 Pro, and MAR-LX2 is the code number for the Huawei P30 Lite. Though it has received a TKDN certificate, the listing doesn’t reveal the detailed specifications of the smartphones. We will have to wait for the official launch.

Huawei P30/ P30 Pro Specifications

Display: Both the phone support waterdrop displays. The P30 Pro feature 6.47-inch FHD+ (2340×1080) OLED display, while the regular variant P30 gets a smaller 6.1-inch FHD+ (2340×1080) OLED display.

Battery: The P30 Pro is powered by a massive 4,200mAh battery, while the P30 gets a battery capacity of 3,650mAh battery. Both the smartphones support Huawei’s 40W Super Charge technology.

Rear Camera: The P30 Pro comes with a Leica quad-camera setup on the back consist of a 40MP primary camera with SuperSpectrum Sensor and f/1.6 lens, a 20MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera, an 8MP telephoto camera with a Periscope lens which will offer 5x optical zoom, up to 50x digital zoom, 10x hybrid zoom, and a Time of Flight camera. The P30 smartphone sports a triple camera setup. It includes a 40MP f/1.8 wide-angle camera, a 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera and an 8MP telephoto camera (3x optical zoom).

Front Camera: Both the devices come with a 32MP f/2.0 selfie camera that includes Super Portrait Mode feature.

Processor: Both the phones are powered by the latest Kirin 980 chipset (based on a 7nm process). The chipset comes with a Mali-G76 GPU and is equipped with dual NPU.

Pricing Details & Memory Variants

The P30 has been priced at EUR 799, and it comes with one variant only (6GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage). The P30 Pro has been priced at EUR 999 for the 8GB/128GB variant. The other two options; the 8GB/256GB and 8GB/512GB comes with a price tag of EUR 1,099 and EUR 1,249 respectively.
